I am still decompressing from the trip. We got back on Sunday and I had a work emergency snap me quite quickly back to reality. Now, I have training for the next 2 days, so I won't have any time to start posting our journey, although I am quite looking forward to doing so. If I'm daydreaming over the next two days, this is where I'll be.

and...we're back!
after a wonderful 12 days on the road and with my family, we are back in Portland, tired and happy with over 1000 pictures and ready to get back to everyday life. As I start to go through all the pictures, I look forward to reliving some of the funny and amazing experiences we had and deciding how I want to document them.

Jazz Boobs
Between the last routine and vacation, I only had 2 classes, so I decided to bring back what is probably my all time favorite Tease and Tone routine (evident in the fact that I never forget it). I love P!nk and this dance is just super fun to do. Also, I totally invented the term "Jazz boobs" in my impromptu description of a move while teaching last night. definitely a keeper.

Fashion Friday: The wedding edition!
Today is our 5 year wedding anniversary (Wow, time. How you fly!) Let's use this as an excuse to look at wedding photos :) We wanted a casual, good 'ol fashioned country wedding. Here's what we wore...
Here's what my family wore:
Since we both had girls standing up for us, my brothers walked them down the aisle. Charmaine was my bridesmaid and wore a black dress and Brandie was John's groomsgirl and dressed to match him. Chris was our reverand, he's back there in the flowers somewhere :)
Champ got super dressed up in his fancy harness.
It was awesome.
Afterward, we switched it up a little to kick up our heels in the driveway.
Even later, we went into town for the dance and changed once again...
I promise I started with a shirt on. I wore a white tank top with my jeans and garter. However, this is typical Schlothauer....
I never thought that getting married would make a difference, but being married is awesome. I love my husband.

4th of July
We waited all week to go on the first super adventure of summer and were so excited when it looked like the sun would actually come out to join us! We packed on Thursday night and as we laid everything out to go, it seemed like Toki objected. She sat on my jacket all night.
We took off on the bike bright and early Friday morning and went to Pendleton, where we spent a delightful day bopping around and enjoying the weather. We woke up Saturday to sunshine and were able to leisurely take our time to head off to meet John's folks in Boardman for our fishing weekend.
Once there, we took off for the river!
Fish were caught...
Fun was had....
Pictures were taken.....
We had a great first outing of the season with absolutely perfect weather.
You aren't going to catch anything in the parking lot, Carl.
That night, We took the bike out in search of dinner options and it was awesome to get to see this lovely sunset in the still 80 degree weather.
On Sunday, we woke up to wind. So much that we had to stay on land and entertain ourselves by hanging out at the pool, napping, and making drinks. The wind had passed by Monday and we were able to grab a couple more hours on the river before packing up and heading back to town. A super fun weekend for all.
