Something we like to do on a pretty regular basis is go down to Hawthorne and have a beer and split a sandwich at Bridgeport and people watch. John has mentioned that eons ago when he moved here, the Bridgeport in NW was really cool and we should do that some day. OK, awesome, cuz another thing we like to do is jump on the ol' mass transit and go drinking, now there was a new destination. Sunday was the day. We each got in a bit of a workout (you gotta earn it), looked up the address on the interwebs and headed out to catch the bus, then the train, to the neighborhood of our destination. When we got there, we walked in the door to a full house of what appeared to be post-church drinkers and snackers with loud children. I don't even think Jesus would have hung around there to drink with them. We didn't either. We were out of there and we talked about exactly how long it had been since John had been there and certainly, times had changed but at least we gave it a shot. We'll stick to our window seats at the Hawthorne location. Not to give up on our grand plan though, we walked down a couple streets to the Rogue. There, we saddled up to the bar and had a very nice afternoon of some beers and calamari.
and some oyster shooters.....
bottoms up!
For dessert, some coffee and our first, but certainly not our last, trip into Cupcake Jones. Maybe next time the cupcakes will last long enough to have thier photo included in the post adventure blog.

I am not sure where you have been hiding that tiger shirt, but if I don't get it wrapped up in a gift box for my birthday, you will be demoted to Salty Q.
consider me demoted... you'd have to rip it off me. the whiskers have rhinestones on them.
